I can not say that my view about diplomacy has completely changed, what i can say is that i have a broader knowledge about the topic thanks to this module( the new diplomacy).I had a small knowledge of what diplomacy is and what it involves, what i didnt know is how complexe a diplomatic negotiation can be. For instance the diferences between "old" and "new" diplomacyis definetly an example example of the great range of knowledge that i acquired troughout this module.This knowledge allowed me to formulate a more complete opinion about the state of diplomacy these days, and as i expressed in a previous blog, i think that the old diplomacy has somehow been outmoded by a more effective new form of diplomacy that includes multilateral negotiations, a big influence by new technologies in the way of exercing diplomacy , public and non state actores interference in negotiations carried away by head of states, has definetly changed the face of diplomacy.Diplomatic resolution is definetly the way forward in the "fight" for a better and peaceful world, but as we have all witnessed along the years, diplomacy has not allways been as efficient as we would like it to be.
